New Heavy Machinery Boosts Infrastructure

On February 20, 2026, the Ministry held a blessing ceremony for the new heavy equipment adding to the existing lineup of heavy machinery intended to boost the Ministry’s efforts with ongoing development of national infrastructure works. The new additions include three excavators, three dump trucks, and three bulldozers.

Honorable Minister Thomas highlighted in his keynote remarks, the unfortunate delay in the acquisition of the new equipment but stressed the importance of the Ministry’s efforts to continue with infrastructure development of docks, ramps, airport runways, and coastal protection measures which tie in with the RMI Government’s Agenda 2030 initiatives and the adaptation and mitigation efforts against the effects of climate change.

The ceremony took no longer than 30 minutes with a prayer by the Ministry’s designated chaplain and refreshments followed after the ribbon cutting.
